Who we are

A non-profit building tech talent across the North.

Community-led software education for Northern Nigeria — free, in the open, and rooted in the people and places we serve.

Our Mission

To promote digital inclusion by making Python and software skills accessible to youth and underserved communities across Northern Nigeria — practical, hands-on, and always free.

Our Vision

A future where every young person in the North has the skills, tools, and confidence to code, build, and contribute to the global tech ecosystem from their own community.

How we work

Learn, build, then teach the next.

Four principles that turn a single workshop into a lasting movement.

Free & Open

Every resource, workshop, and event is free — knowledge belongs to everyone.

Community-led

Local volunteers run local chapters. The people closest to the problem lead the solution.

Practical First

We teach by building real projects, not just theory — you ship from day one.

Pay It Forward

Learners become mentors, keeping the loop alive for the next cohort.

Our approach

Access, not just aspiration.

Talent is everywhere in the North, but access is not. Many learners are held back by cost, distance, and a lack of local role models — not ability. Python Arewa Foundation removes those barriers with free training, mentorship, and a welcoming community, so potential is the only thing that matters.
